Inclusive Careers WG

An important goal of CRANE is to help to enable and promote academic career development in cyber security, recognising the challenges of cross-disciplinary working and the imperative to include many voices in this dialogue.

The Inclusive Careers Working Group is a space where we can come together to discuss how to make cybersecurity research career development and opportunities accessible to everyone. We aim to create a networking culture that supports all researchers in growing, regardless of their background, identity, or career stage.

What will the group do?

  • Share ideas and best practices for activities that create a network that supports everyone’s career development
  • Talk honestly about where opportunities can sometimes feel limited or hard to access
  • Build a network of those passionate about inclusion and career growth in cybersecurity research to discuss current issues
  • Design Feedback mechanisms which empower members voices to improve the network
