CRANE exists to strengthen the cyber security research community, supporting developing and nurturing research across academic disciplines throughout the UK. In pursuing this goal we prioritise developing researcher careers and building on regional strengths.
To achieve this, we are promoting the development of regional groups, encouraging the exchange of insights, and enabling researchers to build networks, disseminate outcomes, and build profiles.
Regional seminar series
As part of this effort, we are working with Regional Co-ordinators to deliver a series of hybrid seminars, complemented by in-person networking events, to engage the cyber security research community within each region.
This series is run in collaboration with the Cyber Security & Resilience Seminar Series (CySe3), an online seminar programme. For the purposes of this initiative, we are using the UK regions as defined by the ONS as a starting point, while maintaining flexibility in how these are applied.
